For those running the Ruger American...Velocities

What caliber are you shooting out of your RA Gen2 and what is the speed of that caliber.
With some of the reviews i have seen on this rifle it seems to be a good option for a cheaper rifle. But the 20" barrel model has me wondering what speeds some are getting with the caliber they are shooting.

I see the Predator model has a 22" barrel but some of the calibers I am interested in are not available yet.

I have a Gen 2 Standard (20”) .223 Rem that shoots 73 grain ELDMs at 2680. Box shows 2790 for a 24” barrel.

I’ve got my 7.62x39 throwing 123gr Barnes TSX at 2450fps and my wife’s 308 and 130gr TTSXs at 3150. Working on my wife’s 7mm08 with both 139 LRX and 120ttsx.

Oops didn’t see the gen2 part o well.

M ES and SDs are great but my best 10 shoot group is about 1” with about 60 rounds down the pipe. Certainly moment of deer but I am optimistic they will get better when I get over 100 rounds. I have not done any seating depths adjustments since I was really just looking to get some rounds through the rifle. They were just loaded to book length. I was able to get a modified case this week so we shall see. Awesome little gun for the money.

Curious if anyone tested the 6.5 PRC in Gen II predator (22”), looking for factory velocities of either 147 ELD-M or ELD-X.

20” barreled 6 ARC with 103’s @ 2659.
16” barreled 5.56 with ADI 69’s @ 2650ish.
