elkflunky, you can pm us by clicking on our Avatar at left of post. Look for "send a private message" and the rest is intuitive. Always watch the top of your screen on the Hunt Hard, Hunt Smarter banner and as long as you're logged in, you'll see a Notifications alert. Looking back, I became acquainted with Aron back in December 25, 2011 on Christmas Day and was friended with him through another social media site. I saw Rokslide start up and saw several folks sign up that I'd met along the way in other forums. Since then reading from the sidelines, I've found Aron to be most helpful to others in sharing and discussing information to "help" and "encourage" others. It's been a very nice site to visit here at Rokslide and I'm thankful for finding the site and for the leadership, staff and management here.

I don't much care to see folks pitting hunter against hunter. It's just not productive to our sport. Opinion difference and sharing them respectfully is one thing but tearing down folks down, attacking their integrity and their intentions, well that's just not something I enjoy seeing on the site. I'd just rather see it productive rather than destructive.

Just want to say thanks Aron. I appreciate what you do here.

I just saw where the OP posted stuff on bowsight looking for support and validation. It appears he is not going to get it!!
 
I wonder if a guy like that ever looks in the mirror and asks himself if he's the problem ? If he has been shut down on at least two websites that we know of he has been kicked off others most likely.
 
I have to say Rokslide has been great at not having idiots being rude or derogatory towards others. So props to the members and the guys running the show for keeping them away.

Got into this sport back in 09, before rokslide & before Aron went to work for Kifaru. Ive talked to the man twice about gear & Ive expected him to maybe be a little short with me because he must get alot of calls since he does throw his number out there. What I get on the other end of the line is a fairly humble guy who seems to enjoy shareing his knowledge of gear, as if we would be better off trying all this gear ourselves? He most recently sold me on a slick bag, after we talked about different insulations vs. climashield combat & what his opinion of what would be the best down bags to go with. I chose the slick bag largely because of the quality of the other Kifaru gear I have, & I bought that stuff mainly because of the Reepers advice. If the slick bag lets me down, then that will be the first time Ive ever had a disagreement with Aron or Kifaru, but it certainly would not keep me from seeking his advice or considering Kifaru in the future. Personally I wouldnt say anything about someone online that I wasnt willing to say in person. Just my .02
 
Nick , all I can tell you is that he needed to get something " off his chest" and it went down hill from there into a personal character attack.
 
The post is still up on bowsite and his handle is orionsbrother. We are not brothers and I have no idea who that guy is and have no affiliation with him. Just thought I would clear that up.
 
Actually, Orions brother is making fun of the guy too.

It took me a minute to understand it, but he's telling the guy that II should have called him a lot more than G--
 
I think he took my advice and shut down his own thread and took my advice and moved his complaint to a gardening site for stay at home wives!
