Footbeds?

I think I need to replace my stock footbeds. What are you using? I am looking at Spenco Hikers. Anyone use these? They are cheap, so of course I am questioning their effectiveness.

lathrop and sons may be better suited to help you but i have used a pair of superfeet and really liked them although i have tried them in my new lowa tibets because i love the fit so much as they are. As far as cost is concerned i do not go cheap on my feet as they are my path to that 400 class bull!!!! Good luck

You just have to try a few spenco is good for extra cushion some have to much arch support for me personally

I have the lathrop footbeds and so far they are doing what I need them to do.

I would strongly suggest visiting a store that specializes in custom inserts. I found there was a large variance in all the footbeds and I tried putting many brands against the bottom of my foot before I found one brand that looked like it was made for me.

Another vote for superfeet greens. I have tried super feet and "soles" the soles can be heated and then molded to your exact foot but I still prefer the superfeet greens.

I used to use the Superfeet orange but last year tried the Lathrop and Sons high country synergy and was really impressed. I've never had my feet feel so good after a 3 day backpack elk hunt and 2 trips out with meat. They do seem to be breaking down a bit as of my last hike a couple weeks ago but still offering some nice cushioning. I'll buy another pair when these wear out. The superfeet and the synergy are two totally different type of footbed though...

I have had good luck with the spenco hikers. I use superfeet greens as well but I always seem to get blisters on the balls of my feet so I stopped wearing them on any long hike.

I just got a pair of spenco earth bounds, so far I'm pleased, but haven't put them to a real test. They are a recycled cork product and were on sale on amazon. I really would like crocs to make insoles, great comfort there..
