For a 2nd year QB, there is little if anything to criticize about Maye. The Patriots just need to continue to build.

I thought he was year three playing with a year learning on the bench so ya I agree with that assessment.

Agreed. I think it just becomes “cool” to hate on certain announcers. You can almost track which YouTube channels or subreddits someone frequents by who they “hate.”

Maye definitely had a chance, great coaching and his stellar defense made sure of it.
As I see it, the shortcoming wasn't entirely his fault. Had Patriots offensive line been able to win more blocks, he would have had more than 2 seconds before running for his life, hats off the Seattle's defense. But, Patriots tweak that one area, this game is different.
As a young QB, he's off to a good start and they will be back.

I liked tony romo when he first was announcing. The dude could call plays before they were happening. My understanding is the network asked/made him tone it down. Now i dont think he even cares anymore

I know alot of guys dont like Brady as an announcer, but he does drop some interesting facts and techniques that alot of viewers dont think about or know.

That’s just it, every game he calls. He has a favorite player and kind of turns his nose up at some other players who should at least be acknowledged even if they aren’t on the elite level.

At least Maye was playing in the game. Collinsworth has on more than one occasion without being prompted mentioned Mahomes in games the Chiefs weren't even playing in.
