Football fans???

agreed here - let there be competition. NFL trying to protect players has given too much flex to inconsistent calls. It allows the games to feel like they’re being managed by the refs rather than the best team

Guys, come down off the ledge over the Halftime thing.

If the NFL has taught us anything in recent years, it’s that Halftime is not for music, or talent. While the mind-numbing chucking and jiving of the rappers we’ve grown accustomed to seeing, is technically a variation of English that we can understand, it doesn’t mean we want to.
Maybe a foreign language in its entirety is better. Probably just turn the volume down, it should be easier to watch than what has become a Halftime tradition.
Speak for yourself the half time show with snoop was awesome. If I had a pick slipknot would be my pick.

Slipknot would be awesome. Probably my top pick. But, I realize most of the world would s*** a chocolate squirrel if they came out in hoods and crushed the stadium. Metallica in norcal would have fit, but I'm not the target audience.

So, after realizing the halftime show will never be for me, I don't care what it is. I like the nfl and I watch games all season without caring about halftime shows or politics. Why should this game be any different?

I watch less and less of the NFL every year. Seems it started changing too much for me somewhere in the 2010s. I hate all the rule changes that promote more offense and “protecting” the players. In reality they should say protecting our investments! I hate the reviews too, IMO the human element is what makes sports special and the refs get it right nearly every time. If you slow down a play enough anything can look like a drop or catch. College football is heading down this path too with the paying of players and portals. If you could transport a person from just a few decades ago to today they wouldn’t recognize the game! I still tune in when my team (GB) is playing but rarely sit through an entire game. I usually get to pissed off because of a “roughing the passer” call, regardless of which team gets the call.
I suppose it’s like everything else these days, too much “progression” is, in reality, regression. Something’s are perfect the way they are and need to be left alone.
I sometimes day dream about watching Ray Nitchke. I got to meet him when I was a kid when he was at the opening of a new bank in town.

That’s exactly how I feel to. Another good one would be Korn open with blind like Woodstock 99

Go Cowboys!!! ok, just hoping for a good game, played by the players, not the refs. and yeah, a Metal half time show would be awesome!
