So, in the same week, the NFL not only announces that Sheduer Sanders is their pick for a Pro Bowl QB, but also that Bill Belichick will NOT be a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee???

Let's see, 7 starts with a 3-4 record, 1400 passing yards, 7 TD's, 10 INT's, and an 18.9 QBR. As far as I'm concerned, not only does that have Pro Bowl written all over it, but another year or two like that and he'll end up being a 1st. round ballot Hall of Fame'r! You GO LIL SANDERS!!

Isn’t the issue with the Pro Bowl that lots of people drop out, so they get pretty far down the list for players willing to participate?

The only ranking that matters is All Pro.

Here's my take on the BB HOF 1B Snub (is that too many acronyms? )

Assuming an individual did not directly influence this snub, my take is two things hurt BB:

1) Outside of winning a lot, he's seemingly an unpleasant person, especially if you are in the media or he doesn't think you have any value to him or his cause/interest/etc. Oh, and he has zero likeability. Within his circle (well, all except Linda Holliday), he might be a great guy. Some people seem likeable even if you've never met and some people seem like douche bags. BB's in the latter category for almost everyone is my take.

2) I think this is much bigger than # 1, but just maybe this snub is sending the message that BB was made by TB12 and not vice versa. Look at BB's record w/o TB12 under center and you get a ho hum coach.

The issue with the Pro bowl has always been, you get on it a year or two too late, and stay on it, a year or two too long.
Then there's this Sanders back up nomination. Maybe they’re changing their ways to a lottery system.
