Karma for bounty gate. If ever there was a year things were all laid out for Denver to win it all, it was this.

The difference is, that team had to play the entire season with a QB that was well past his prime (so they had a lot of practice with having to make adjustments), and this team has not.

Yes, I'm sure that helped a lot. And of course even just having PM's football IQ and experience adds a lot even if his play as QB was pitiful by any measure.

I will always believe Dallas tanked their last game of the '88 season to get Aikman just ahead of the Packers. It was pretty obvious. Then GB got duped into taking Tony Mandarich, perhaps the worst draft choice ever. Oh well, a couple years later they landed Brett Favre and Reggie White.
