Maybe I'm making this up, but I feel like I remember a head coach getting after players for celebrating to much before the game was over, he'd say something to the effect of, we'll celebrate in the locker room.
That was in the “olden days” like the 1990s and older. Kids nowadays wanna be showy and spend hours practicing their celebration dances. The “look at me” generation coming of age. The coolest TD celebration is to hand the ball to the Ref and walk away. Act like you been there before.

The difference is Ole Miss and Bama beat Georgia in addition to others that rival the wins from weaker CFP teams. Indiana, SMU, Boise, ASU, etc have zero proof they can beat a top 6 level team.

Addition of USC, Oregon, and Washington/UCLA in some years is going to make the big10 a lot more than just OSU vs Michigan with PSU nipping at their heels every year.
Perhaps, but the only "top level team" to play Boise State this year was undefeated Oregon, and they won on a last-second field goal in Eugene. I know PSU is heavily favored against the Broncos, but we've seen this play out before, particularly in the Fiesta Bowl, which Boise State has won three times. The Broncos have seen a team like PSU this year; PSU has not seen a running back like Ashton Jeanty.

The Bills D is so soft this year I can see them causing 0 turnovers and loosing in the playoffs again. That said, as long as 17 is playing we can beat anyone on any given day as this offence is looking to be one of the best of all time.
On another note, how is Ben Johnson still an OC and not a head coach? No way he is still with the Lions next year. Can he be the man to fix the Bears?

The Bill's defense started out pretty decent. Obviously injuries are playing some role now with four starters out. My hope is that they all return by the time the playoffs start (or before we botch the #2 seed; I've pretty much given up on the #1 seed :( )

That second half of the Georgia game was the turning point for Alabama’s season. They never returned to the level they played in the first half. Multiple bad losses matter more than one or two good wins it seems. And I’m OK with that. Bama lost to OK and Vandy. Miss lost to Kentucky and Florida. If you can’t win those games, you’re not winning 4 in a row versus top tier talent. They had their chance to get in and didn’t do it.

None of them would or will win a natty so it’s all just fodder anyways. The playoff committee did what it was meant to do.

The rub on Boise, and I agree, is the scheduling difference over the entire season. They take Oregon to the wire and then the next few weeks are Indiana, Penn State, Iowa, USC, Michigan.......etc. Rather than Portland State, Wazzou, Utah State, Hawaii, UNLV, etc.......

Those are not the same. They don't have the depth to survive that. Anyone can win a single game. 13 games in the group of 5 is far different than the Power 5. Now Power 4.
