Football fans???

Every team should have a Goon that doesn’t count against the 53 man roster and has to declare intent like an eligible lineman checking in.

^ When I was a kid they had a local hockey team and a guy on the team named "Schmitty". Guy couldn't skate really well and was no threat for scoring any goals, but if a game got out of control, the crowd would start chanting "Schmitty, Schmitty". He'd eventually come over the rail and put an end to any nonsense that was going on :ROFLMAO:

Vikes fan here. I'm happy to see the kitties lose but i kind of wish the vikes would have been the benefactor of that terrible Dan Campbell call to go for the onside kick with 12 minutes left. Hopefully his hubris remains mostly in tact.

The penalty must be called prior as well, so its obvious what is coming.

Number 47 is coming on the field. Built like William "The Fridge" Perry.
Flag gets thrown.
Roughing the Passer is called.
Camera pans to the QBs face for entertainment purposes.

I sure hope the NFL disposes of this travesty of the new kickoff. I can't believe they thought this was a great addition.

I know the topic of the transfer portal, ( which for the record, I think is ruining NCAAF.) has come up before, but right now just before the college playoffs begins the portal has opened. Now how stupid is that. You have players wanting to leave a program they have been with for a few years. I think in most cases these are players who feel they will have a better opportunity to get a starting position on a different team, all good and well, but they are letting their team down by declaring their intentions to leave the program. A couple years ago Wis. lost their startling QB, Graham Mertz in the portal, He went to Florida. That left them with a QB with limited time under center and it turned out to be costly for the badgers. Now Penn State coach is pitching a bitch about the poor timing of the portal. And I don't like the NIL deal either. I'm old school and believe both of these deals are hurting the game. JMHO. Go ahead, fire away.

I feel like it’s the easiest decision of all time to make the portal closed until after the national championship.
I don’t even kinda understand it

"Vikes fan here." I'm sorry for you. But you're correct. 2-pt conversions and onside kicks are for emergency situations only, IMO. 12+ minutes to go and down by 10? Not quite an emergency.

I saw this last year in the College World Series. The University of Texas athletic director got on a plane with the intention of signing the Texas A&M head coach. He put it out on twitter right before game 3 of the final. The Aggies could have lost anyways, but you can’t tell me those players didn’t see that on twitter and have that in their mind. That UT athletic director should be horse whipped for not waiting a week. I believe the season should be completely over before and shuffling occurs.

I agree they should Close the portal until after the national championship

They should Make transfers sit a year before they are eligible to play for new team

Destroy NIL: pay the players, all of them, a base salary w/ benefits and disability insurance. Set the base by grade, years in conference and conference. Conferences/schools should be allowed to recoup funds from transfers who leave mid season like the UNLV qb did.

The Penn State case really puts it in perspective. It’s a situation where the starting QB is deciding to come back so the backup with one year left realizes he needs to go elsewhere to play his last year and his coaches and teammates are all supporting him in his decision. As the coach said “the kid is forced into a no-win situation.” The kid can stay with his team through the playoffs and risk not having a team to play on next year or enter the portal and not be part of something he’s helped build the last 4 years. It will be wild if Penn State’s QB gets hurt in the playoffs and the #2 had to leave early.

It feels like decisions at the NCAA are made at a third grade level. No portal and no coach hires until the entire season ends is just too logical for the NCAA. Make strict penalties for anyone trying to have back door convos before then. The timing with the semester and end of season/transfer window makes it a bit complicated I suppose. But let’s be honest, none of these kids care if they miss a spring semester; most are going to school for 5-7 years now unless they leave for NFL.

If they don’t change it SOON, it’ll just be further proof of how incredibly terrible the whole organization is…

If you have the NFL network and are interested in watching replay of Bills- Lions game, it is now showing, just started. Great game it was.

I watched the 25-30 minute highlight video that was on Youtube; it was definitely a shootout of epic proportions!

Come on Texans! :D I see Mahomes is cleared to play.

Watching the Denver Broncos LA Chargers game and saw a free kick field goal to end the first half. The kicker for LA made it. First time I've ever seen this at any level. Full description linked:

Notre Dame defense is for real- go ND!

How can someone say the portal hasn't equalized the talent in NCAA Football?

The dominant schools aren't just rolling over everyone else...there is more parity with the portal. Now it's a lot of pay to play....I'm not a fan of that but the schools rake big $$ off of those programs....so it makes sense the players should be able to capitalize.

It doesn't make me throw up a little in my mouth when I hear Shedur Sanders wants to buy a Rolls Royce in college....
