I've owned a number of .308 in folding-stock pistols and standard rifle stocks. I really like the length of the .308 pistols, but cheek weld on all of them has been horrendous...IMO.
I'm currently looking at the Sig Cross and the Sig Cross Trax. My post is a 3 part question...I apologize in advance for this.
1. How is the Cross and the Cross Trax in regards to cheek weld? Both seem to be a lot better than anything I've seen before on any folding stock. I gotta have a good cheek weld if I hope to hit anything.
2. I was looking at these two and for me, as a dealer, the cost is only a difference of about $88. I see that specs show the following in OAL, Folding
OAL and Weight, making them are very similar:
Sig Cross (#CROSS30816B: 35.1", 26", 5.9lbs)
Sig Cross Trax (#CROSS-308-16B-TRX: 34.9", 26.1", 6.6lbs)
Do you guys have a preference if you've experienced both?
3. Are there any other suggestions other than the Sig options listed?
I am wanting this for a packable hunting rifle, but I also require it to be sub-moa. I do reload, and read that this is important, but if I could find a commercial load, that would earn bonus points. Please help this old man!!!
