Hey y'all, first time user and 1st time poster! Originally from Utah but have lived in Eastern Iowa for the past several years. I hunt mainly Whitetail, Turkey and Pheasant but I try and get into some Chukar when I make it back out west. Fairly new to the whole hunting scene (must've been dropped as a kid because I am late to the party) but have some pretty good goals and have found a great community within hunting. Wanted to say hello and wanted to get my name out there. Excited to be on here!

I can't imagine the People's Republic of Minnesota ever having a team let alone one that would compete for anything of worth!

What have you put together for a deer rifle? Looking for a good range? There are a few options.

That is on my list of things that I would like - I don't own a rifle yet. I have only hunted archery and go to Hawkeye just north of North Liberty. I know there is a solid gun range right there as well

Not sure if you ever make it up to the NE corner of the state, but we have some decent trout streams. If you're into 3D archery we have a few clubs around that have monthly shoots in the summer. And there is also an indoor 3D course in West Union at the fairgrounds that's open mid- dec through early march.

I will definitely check both of those things out. I love trout fishing - where I grew up in Utah that is pretty much all we had!

3D shoots in the summer would be sweet. Where are the outdoor shoots during the summer?
