Thanks everyone. Anyone have any advice for a first time out west hunter? My hunting has only been in VA and my father and myself have a mule deer tag for MT. Not looking for areas to hunt, we have that figured out, just any advice that you think may be helpful. We are staying and hunting in the region 7 area, public land and BMA’s, first week of November. I find my self searching this site daily for whatever information that I feel can be useful but in return that usually leads to spending more money on some sort of gear I feel that I just have to have.
