Thanks for the add! I’m new to this whole world and am just getting started with backcountry “money pit” hunting 😂. I’ve done a lot of public land hunts but never backcountry and I am super excited. I’m looking forward to the plethora of knowledge available here.

P.S. I seldom give advice on an into post but this just might be helpful given you are just getting started. 1) Don't get in a hurry to buy things like packs, tent, binos and just about anything else related to hunting. Research, then research and then research some more (here and YT are great resources) will help you understand what you need/want. 2) Establish yourself here (with post count or with a paid membership - money well spent IMHO) and then watch the classifieds. Buying used is a great way to acquire your gear w/o breaking the bank. Good luck!

I appreciate the wisdom, I have a mentor that is very experienced in backcountry hunting and has been guiding me. I honestly want to buy everything now as you mentioned but have exercised restraint very well 😂

The fun thing about all of this, is the research involved and the fun new tricks and tips I’ve already learned along the way!
