For ohio? Tikka .350 with @pods8 extended mags and bear creek ballistics 140gn HV.
For out west? Lots of threads on that, but Tikka 6cm/.243 seems to be the current hotness. Silencers for either/both as well.

This is primarily for future endeavors.

We have a savage 350 legend can’t remember which one off hand.

Also have a Marlin Guide gun in 45-70.

He looking into a rifle that can grow with his needs. I know he wants to hunt various big game animals in NA and abroad if the opportunity presents itself.

Could get a good old fashioned .270 or 30-06. Also look into the 6.5 CM (you’ll get hate but oh well) or a 6.5 PRC
