FNG from PA here. Big fan of shooting above average whitetail bucks. Not big fan of dragging said whitetails out of remote locations. Joining rokslide for discussions on packing out meat, butchering, gear, techniques, and buy/sell.

Hope to eventually gain enough knowledge to draw Western tags for muleys and elk too.

Welcome! Packing them out is the way to go. Cleaner, easier and you leave most of the inedible stuff behind. I load my game bags into a cooler in my truck and then unpack the bags into bus tubs that fit on a fridge shelf. Really makes it convenient to get it cold so you can go back out to fill another tag.
