Long time lurker, first time poster. Grew up and spent most of my life in Texas between Dallas and Corpus Christi. Now living in Eastern South Dakota but I spend my summers in Alaska. Mostly hunt birds with my dogs and fish but I've been venturing out and doing a bit of deer hunting as of late. Packed moose for a few seasons in Alaska some years back.

I live north of Dallas and hunt western SD when I draw tags. Used to hunt pheasants and grouse around Pierre when we had good dogs.

Hunted the Pierre area a few times this year, grouse numbers were great! Wish we had more of them on this side of the state.
