Hey all! FNG residing in Al. Grew up hunting in the Midwest. Then entered the military and hunted out West. Bagged some pigs and a decent 8pt white tail last year.

Anyone know any ranges in northern Al that are 200+? Have a new Bergara and id like to stretch its legs.

Me too. Strategic Edge is worth the drive if you're making an entire day of a range trip and not making the drive weekly. That being said I haven't been to any of the closer ranges.

Welcome, also in the HSV area.

Closest place that doesn't require a membership and gets you to 200 near Huntsville is Skyline WMA, but 200 is it.

If you're willing to do a membership, Hobbs Island Shooting Range goes out to 350, maybe 400. Blue and Gray has 200 in Guntersville and members used to be able to access the ranges at Arnold AFB on specific days for out to 600. Brocks Gap also has a 500 yard range in Birmingham.

Dead Zero in TN is 2 hours from you and you can really stretch it out there. Also got CMP in talladega another 600 yd range.
