Air Canada is specific about no ammo in gun cases. And Air Canada will label your luggage as containing ammo.

It's not a TSA rule in the states.

They've recently stopped doing that. Now there is a little sticker on on the luggage tag they put on. The "steal this one" big orange label is not on any more. I flew with handguns in May ( locked box in a suitcase) and it was the same way.

If you read the firearm import form, handguns are perfectly legal. Don't listen to me, don't listen to internet chatter. Just read the declaration form.

Yea good luck with. Have fun declaring a hand gun at Canadian customs. Let us know how that works out for you. Lol
