Heading to Alaska June 1st for a family trip. Flying into Fairbanks, through Denali and leaving outta Anchorage. I’ve read all the threads here regarding fishing in the area so I’m going to pack a few fly rods in case I can escape for a few hours. I’d be happy as a clam fishing for grayling and dollys, I’ve never fished for either species. Normally I’d plan to stop at a local fly shop but since I’m with the big family that chance isn’t guaranteed. So what to pack in the fly box for June? Curious what you AK folks are throwing this time of year in those area waters. Would love some recommendations that could keep me busy on the tying bench for the next week.

Grayling will never turn down a dry fly or any dry fly for that matter. You could be fishing in a rain storm and catch grayling on dries.
For Dollys a black or purple leech, smolt pattern or muddler minnow will do the trick.
