Well with the snow coming I decided to take couple days off work and head to NW Florida. Driving up I-10 was a little stressful with traffic getting backed up and serval wrecks happening on the way up.

16 degrees the first morning I hunted and felt like a kid walking threw the snow. Seen plenty of deer and sign just not anything big enough to shoot but definitely will be a good memory. I cut a few fresh sets of tracks and followed them for a while with no luck. Walking in the snow was definitely noisy so the deer probably heard me coming from a mile away.

Those snow hunts are something we lower Southern boys don't experience very often, but when they do, it is memorable.

I remember turkey hunting on April 4th and it snowing on me. I can't remember the year, only the date sticks out, turkeys didn't gobble that morning, I remember that. I do remember a whole flock of hens coming up on me, like it was winter for them.
