Flipper rest

How many of you guys shoot off of a rest? Do you shoot vanes? Hold tighter groups? Thoughts?

I use a flipper rest on my Hoyt GameMaster II. I also shoot Axis arrows with four 4" vanes. I have never shot three vanes so I don't know if they do anything or not, but I do know I don't really have to worry about having to look down and make sure my arrow is aligned right for a shot. I use vanes because I have had no luck with feathers in the rain, living in Washington State will show what does and doesn't work.
