Acetone directly on a scotchbrite pad and scuff the fletching area, then go back through them with acetone and a clean rag to remove any residual from the shaft. Gorilla superglue gel is my adhesive of choice and have never had a problem with blazers coming loose. As was mentioned, less is more for sure. Just put enough glue in the valley of the vein to give it a shine, then apply to the shaft with pressure.
