So, all you flats fanatics - whats your reasoning? Taste? Diet friendly (no meat)?
You like sucking meat off the bone rather than eating normally like a full sized drum stick?
More meat on flats. More skin on flats and IMO better flavor.

I’m the caveman that cooks the whole wing, including the tips. Easier to prep large batches. Once cooked, flats and drums twist apart easily and the tips basically become crackling.

Flats suck. Way more meat on drums! Easy to grab, and don't have to any weird tongue gymnastics to get meat. Bite and go.
Unless if your from the south, and pull out clean bones in one fell swoop.....seen that from buddies from down there, I like meat, you can have the cartilage.

two hands to eat a tiny thing? Nah. One handed, drums, meat, done.
It’s obvious you don’t know how to eat them. With properly cooked flats you pop the bones out with your fingers and eat the rest of it whole. It’s kind of like learning to eat crab legs properly and efficiently.

Flats all day. If you're problem with them is that you can't "get to the meat in the middle" you're eating them wrong...

I'd rather get two hands dirty than one hand and my face. Trying to knaw all the weird meat around the knuckle off a drummy. Terrible experience.

Pop the smaller bone out of the wing, dip and eat. No sauce on your face necessary.

Also, 185 minimum before pulling.

Blue cheese vs ranch is the obvious second most controversial wing related argument. But it's tiresome. Get one, both or neither, who cares. Big wings vs small wings is more interesting.

Had this place in Auburn, AL that sold em by weight instead of count because they served smaller wings. The sauce/skin to meat ratio is so much better on a smaller wing. The trend of big chicken wings is a travesty.

And if you're making you're own...cut them yourself. It's not that hard. All the broken bones on the commercially cut "party wings" are a major bummer.

I love chicken wings.

Agreed. Getting a bone fragment in your wing is about as appetizing as scales in your fish sandwich.
