Is the FL Sanctuary set windproof? I have the older previous model solitude jacket and it’s terrible for wind in my opinion and experience.

Can anyone attest to how windproof the sanctuary line is vs the solitude?

It’s windproof. One of the 7 layers is a wind proof membrane. I have been wearing my sanctuary jacket daily for this weeks blizzardy sub-zero temps here in Western MT. Got so hot snow blowing out the cabin at -12 that I had to take it off for a while.

Thing’s a furnace.

Thanks man.

I have the previous solitude model jacket and I was frustrated at it's windproofness.

Just wanted to check thank you!

When did you buy it?

3 years ago I bought the Sanctuary and it is not windproof. So much so I can where it in the 50s and not get hot.

Not trying to argue but, huh? I have the woodbury, which isn’t as warm as the sanctuary, but it’s quite similar, and I can’t wear it unless it’s below 40 otherwise it’s too warm. Usually I won’t wear it unless it’s low 30’s or below. I know they are not 100 percent windproof but not to far off.

I have both the Woodbury and the Sanctuary and would agree that they are windproof! Super warm and great for nasty days in the stand ... just don't wear either on the way to your stand! :)

It helps cut the wind but I would not say that it's windproof. Great jacket but not windproof

I will say I'm a skinny guy and do get cold easy. But at 10* with a 15mph wind will cut in and take any warmth from me without 7-8 layers on.

I have both the Woodbury and sanctuary and never have issues in the wind. Typically just wear one base layer and the jacket.

I know people have complained about the Woodbury (that's my jacket) and I would be inclined to agree. But I don't know if I have heard of complaints of the Sanctuary set not handling wind well.

It is not windproof. Been hunting in it since it was released. It is heavily insulated and blocks a lot of wind, but it is not windproof. In fact, nothing in First Lite's whitetail line up is "windproof."

Must be why they are phasing out some of their stuff. That and the new camo.
