So about this time last year I sent in a pair of ni mt extremes, to be checked for leaks. Must have been getting snow in the top of the boot, as kenetrek said they tested them twice and found no leaks. Before they were sent back, kenetrek said the toes were shrunk back some and they would like to fix it since they were there and within a year old. I honestly had not noticed the shrunk back toes, and was very careful with these boots around heat, so I was surprised when they said this work needed to be done. When I pulled the boots out of the box when I got them back, I honestly thought that they sent me the wrong boots, toes were all deformed an weird looking, and the rand was coming of of the toe area of both boots. Looked them over pretty closely to make sure they were my boots. Talked to kenetrek at this point, and they said to send them back to get the rand glued again, but I didn't have time at that point, so I got some of the glue and fixed them myself.
I used them for the first few days of rifle season, realizing that even on flat ground my toes would hit the end of both boots. I had another pair of mtn extreme insulated (same size) that I wore the rest of the season. Looking at them last night, the top of the toe box is shunk back, compared to the other pair of boots.
So after all that whining, my question is, has anybody had good luck with any boot repair shops fixing this kind of thing?
