Fixed broadhead suggestions?

I've used mechanical for my entire bowhunting career (8ish years), but I'm considering switching to fixed. My biggest concern with mechanical is that it will be stopped by a shoulder blade (I primarily hunt whitetail deer). Anyone have experience with a good fixed broadhead that can reliably punch through shoulder blades?

Daysix Evo are my favorite but pretty much everything works these days.

I wouldn’t get anything that isn’t stainless steel personally though.

I carry a couple Jekyll heads in case I have to shoot through grasses and such. Otherwise I’m carrying the Hyde hybrids.

But I would worry less about a shoulder on a bad shot as I would guts. Depending on which was the deer turns, that’s a much bigger area to worry about. If that happens I want as big of a cut as possible to do maximum damage. Plus if I screw up and hit shoulder blade, the leading cut on that head has as much chance of getting through as another fixed blade.

I’ve shot many different fixed broadheads over the past 35 years. My favorite and the current one I’m using now is the QAD exodus. Went the through the shoulder blade of the last elk I killed last year no problem. Also, increase the amount of pounds you pull if you can handle it. If you shoot 60lbs but can comfortably shoot 65 then that will help as well.

I use the magnus stinger broadheads. They work best for me. For my setup they fly just like my field tips and it passed straight through one of my deers this year.

Man, there are so many good ones out there. I've used Wasp Drones forever. I've used Nap and Muzzy as well over the years. They all will fly well, as long as that bow of yours is well tuned. I've stuck with the Wasp brand because their blades come out of the box razor sharp.

I pushed a trypan through the near side shoulder blade of a buck this year. If you hit the ridge you're pretty screwed no matter what, and you aimed in the wrong spot.

For fixed, qad Exodus is always a good choice

I’ve been bow hunting for the better part of 15 years. I started hunting with Muzzy MX-3 fixed blades. I’ve used Rage Hypodermics along with Shwacker 2” mechanicals. Despite having to do a little more tuning with a fixed blade (specifically larger ones), the mechanicals fly better. My old school Muzzy 3 blades are almost 2.5” to the right at 50y compared to a field point.

The Rage Hypodermics fly as close to a field point that I can find. And as long as your not shooting a 45lb bow at 25” draw length I’ve never seen one not pass through deer sized game with good shot placement.

Juice not worth the squeeze at 40.00 plus on the IW's. And good luck getting any kind of lifetime warrantee from them.
QAD exodus and Magnus black hornets for the win. Also, Magnus has a no question asked warrantee. Shot a bull last year w a Black Hornet, bent the ferrell. Phone call and pic to Mike at Magnus resulted in 3 new heads.

Absolutely they are pricey. They have served me well loads of locals around me use them with fantastic success as well, they punch through anything. They are extremely durable, fly true, tune easily. I have seen several replaced via warranty out of my local bow shop.

Your suggestions are fantastic as well. More than a couple of great options out there and everyone is bound to have their preference towards each or several.
