Thanks for the responses! I've spent my whole life around fitness and being active, but have never been one to take supplements. Just wanted to make sure I didn't end up with poor quality ingredients. Wilderness Athlete seems like a safe route.

I just bought some last night at the grocery store (they had buy 1 get 1). The thing I noticed is that a lot of the bigger bottles had more pills, but less for each pill therefore not as good of value. Ended up with ones that were truly 1 pill per day. Also, trying a trick from Gritty Bowmen and keeping them in the freezer to reduce bad breath. They say "no burp" on the bottle, so I don't know if that's something special or not.

Google lab door....they do a bunch of testing for label correctness, ingredients and efficacy. I use viva labs ultra strength omega 3. Was the number 3 rated but one of most affordable in the top 4 or 5. I'm also Vitamin D deficient as I am in a northern state so I also supplement with a carlson labs Vitamin D3 at 4000 IUs. I try to take both of these with fatty type foods, even its just some peanut butter.

Look up Dr. Rhonda Patrick "fish oil". Not sure if anyone out there has done more research on the topic than her.

Ended up ordering the Wilderness Athlete the same day I originally posted. Made a huge difference. Primary reason was for hip soreness. Once I started taking it I realized other little aches and pains went away. What made me a firm believer was when I forgot to order more and ran out for a few days. Never realized how bad my left shoulder had bugged me until then. A few days taking it again, pain gone again. Happened a second time when I forgot to pack some for a backpacking trip a couple weeks ago. An unexpected benefit was no more dry eyes. Highly recommend it to anyone who is active and starting to feel aches and pains creeping up on them.

Thanks again to everyone who posted advice. I’m still a novice on forums and wasn’t aware of the likes/thanks buttons at the time.

I'm doing the exact same thing! Seems like it's working well, hasn't bothered me yet after a few months.

I highly recommend you do some reading and research. All fish Oils are NOT the same. I also take a fish oil that contains astaxathin. Check Out Living Fuel SuperEssentials® Omega 3EDA or Nordic. I heard Ben Greenfield go through a litny of reasons why he choses Living fuels Fish Oil. On their site, they go over a lot of these reasons in their videos.
