Wondering some opinions on the sawtooth jacket would like to get a medium weight jacket haven’t seen much reviews . watched one YouTube video and the chest and sleeve seemed a bit noisy

I got one last year and didn't notice any issues with noise. It runs a little small in my opinion, I'm 6' 195 and a large is pretty snug over the top of my Chama, wish I would have got an XL.

It is one of my favorite early season items. I usually keep it on until around 10am and put it back on about an hour before sunset.

My favorite all around piece of clothing. It works well on its own and is well suited as a mid layer later on. Very versatile piece of clothing

I ordered one and sized up a size. Fit was just a bit too big.
It is designed to be worn while wearing a pack. No insulation on the back which makes sense for humping a pack but I bought it to layer over base merino. I typically hunt deer from treestands and hang my pack while on stand. It just did not work for my needs so I returned it.

I’m wearing a large in firstlite shirts including the uncompaghre puffy and all fitting perfect . Should I still go up one size

Probably my favorite all around piece. Super versatile. Keeps the core and shoulders warm but doesn’t do much for the back or arms. It’s meant to be an active insulation piece while wearing a pack. The merino lets out some heat but the insulation keeps the torso toasty. It’s perfect for low temps where you need to move. Throw another puffy over the top of that and you get an extra layer of puffy excellence. Fit wise, it is a little more snug than their other pieces. I wear an XL in their shirts but a L In their coats. An XL Sawtooth fits snugly but very comfortably at the same time.

I feel it fits true to other firstlite sizes, I wear mine over my base layer and like the fit, arms are a little snug.

Being that it uses Merino 300 on the back how is the dry time? Its intended for active use, but once the merino is soaked with sweat it seems like a synthetic would be a better option for drying out.

I fly fish in only merino tops because of how quick they dry out. Yesterday I reached bicep deep into the river many times and would have dry sleeves within 10-30min. I had on a Furnace in the morning and an older wilkin on in the afternoon.

I agree, the arms on mine are snug. I have large forearms and find the fit through the arms to be somewhat annoying.

I’ve got the older version and it dries out decently. The new ones are the spandex merino blends so they dry out faster. It’s an amazing piece.

I've got a Medium Sawtooth in ASAT that I'm going to be putting in the classifieds soon. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. I bought it from a member on here last fall and I've only tried it on, never seen the field.
