First year hunting with recurve advice

The biggest difference I notice between a compound and a recurve is the timing of the draw and the risk of getting busted while drawing. I like my shooting lanes to have plenty of trees around so I can draw the recurve when the deer is in range and his/her vision is blocked. Of course they don't always cooperate so my second recommendation is have plenty of tag soup recipes.
