First world problems

Ok I need your guys advice. I currently have a 24 inch duplex with high camp bag on it for my longer treks that I love that I use the guide lid and frame as a day pack. It works well but I was a little jealous of my buddies carrying small camelback type packs as day packs while I kept catching the frame on stuff and it wasn't as maneuverable. A step down from there I have a zippy that I use for everything from a diaper bag to a carry on to a daily carry bag (I don't use it for hunting at all) and a step down from there I have a single strap over shoulder 511 bag that was issued to me that I use for just my day-to-day smaller stuff. What I was thinking of doing is replacing the zippy with potentially a mystery ranch scapegoat and using that as a hunting day pack that I could carry out a quarter with on the way back to camp or truck to pick up my duplex as well as using it as a carry-on and using it as a longer day diaper bag and just the day-to-day larger than the 511 bag type of bag. Other than the mystery ranch bag what are some other good options for a 2k ish size bag? I want to stay internal frame and non camo. I know, first world problems but I think three bags could allow me one for every situation. Thanks!

I'm also using this as an excuse to try a mystery ranch bag. Have never had one but want one.

I've got similar first world problems. Lol
(Wanting different bags for different situations). I use an Urban Zippy or Antero for EDC and short travel, 14'er for longer travel and whitetail hunting, and a 26" hunting duplex with AMR for training and big game hunting.

Don't underestimate the Zippy for a whitetail pack. Works great for a light day trip. Wouldn't try to carry a lod of meat in it but moving thru the woods or climbing into trees it works really well.

Thanks. I was just watching the videos on the 14'r. I'm a western hunting spot and stalk guy so when I do hunt from the truck it's extended and I carry a lot. I've never sat in a tree stand and would be ok if I never did..
i do like my zippy but think of it more as a regular old backpack lately and have gone to using the 5.11 bag for daily use

I spot and stalked whitetail the other day with around 35-40# in or attached to the 14'er. Was amazed how comfy it was with that type of load. I even swapped some 22" arrows into it for a test run. Worked great. The lumbar pad actually does pivot with you while moving about. I was a little skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised during my 10-12mi walking hunt.

So now I'm curious how the 14r is better than the scapegoat. I like the side pockets on the scapegoat

ended up picking up a scapegoat and I have to say, it is a sweet little pack. I am going to build a small grab it type of device for it, taking it on an expedition and helo ride end of this week so i will keep this thread updated when I get some miles on it.

Looks pretty much like the scapegoat is very similar in size as a 24" duplex with guide lid, but with the benefit of it being a bag. I am now likely going to buy an AMR to replace my 4500 highcamp and leave it set up as a >72 hrs setup and sell my zippy.

I messed up and bought an AMR for my first bag. Now I don't want another bag cause this one does everything I need it to do. :D

^^^You're lucky you did it right the first time. I've tried almost every bag they make trying to find my perfect bag. Every time I think there's something better....the AMR wins the decision hands down.

Update time!
Took a dragonslayer on a three dayer and although I liked it, it was limited out even with a guide lid and no 15x or tripod.

Literally took off the rifle and guide lid off the dragonslayer and put it EASILY inside the AMR. Pretty sure this is the last bag I'll need.

I can still fit a ton of stuff around the bag on the inside and in the outer AMR pockets
