Well I jumped into the reloading game to chase those 1/2 inch groups. Shooting a Browning X-bolt Hells Canyon Speed in 300 wsm. Wanted to shoot the 180 gr Accubonds and settled on pairing it with H4350. Loaded up some federal once fired with large rifle magnum primers all seated to 2.838" COAL which is about 0.063" jump in my rifle. Did 6 batches of 3 in 0.5 gr increments going from 61 to 63.5 gr. I was extremely pleased with my best group being 0.391" on 62 gr. Also had 0.590" at 61.5 and 0.640" at 62.5. Going to do some more of 62 and probably will load some 0.1 gr increments on each side of 62. Very happy and bought in that hand loading your own is the way to go. Can't wait to see if it will repeat and get it though a crono. Glad to see good results on top of this reloading thing being just plain fun!
Side note that I got this rifle in an out of state Cabela's gun library. Was skeptical because there's usually only one reason someone returns a rifle. They told me they didn't know for sure but that it looked like it had hardly if ever been shot which I agreed with once I seen it in person. It was a heck of a deal so I took a chance on it and love this rifle. Shoots federal fusions sub moa and shooting these hand loads even better!
