First Rifle for Wife LH

I wish the Savage Lady hunter came in left hand as well, my son is a lefty & it would be a good rifle for him to learn on for his first hunt. I ended up buying a Savage Lady 223 & a Lightweight Hunter 243 to swap out the stocks to get a Lightweight in 243 with the Lady stock. I may end up buying a left handed Tikka, but want to be sure he'll be into it before I make the investment. One good thing is the left hand models don't sell cheap second hand so you won't loose much if you have to get rid of it.

If my wife ever decides to hunt I'm hoping she'll like it, I also have a younger son that is right handed that will get some time with it when he's older.

You could always look into a lever action or semi auto, i'm sure a AR in 6.5 Grendel or 6.8 SPC should be enough to handle her needs.

Ive got a couple Lefty's in my house to....and since the older one and the younger one are just both getting in to hunting I purchased single shot rifles so there was no need to worry about the action being right or left handed and to get them to concentrate on making the first shot count,Henry makes some great single shot rifles and so does cva and traditions, if a single is not your thing Henry and Browning both make magazine fed lever action rifles in calibers that would work great for your lefty.

My wife uses a lightly built AR in 6.5 Grendel with a 1.5-6x for that stuff. She's not LH.

Seems like this was posted before but not LH? Tikka in something twisted for 120gr bullets is the first thought. Second is a used Browning Micro. Those can be had LH and often used. I would put a variable scope on having lowest power no higher than 2x. Girls get snuck up on from downwind.
