Myself and 2 buddies have been planning and putting in points for a Wyoming pronghorn hunt. We currently have 3 points each and were planning on trying to draw a tag for the 2026 season. Family and life events came up and now it looks like we wouldn't be able to get out to Wyoming until the 2nd week or the rifle season. This would be our first time hunting out west and I'm just curious how spooked will they be during the 2nd week and if they will be pushed onto private land. Its a long drive from Wisconsin so just wondering if we would be better off waiting another year and getting another point, Looking into some of the zones that start in August or September or should we just go the 2nd week knowing that we will have to hunt a bit harder to find animals on public land? We aren't after trophy animals just looking for a good experience and to get our feet wet hunting in the west. Thanks for any help and information you give.
