How small does it pack into its pocket if anyone has a comparison picture. And is it any warmer than the Kuiu super down thinking of selling my super down for the Uncompahgre.

I don't have the kuiu so can't compare the two but here is mine, size large in its own pocket.

Looks like it packs down pretty good. Seen some pictures with the cuffs having asat on them are they like that on yours? Not really a fan of that but not a deal breaker I guess.

Yeah mine is an older model and has the ASAT on the cuffs. I got it used off here a few months back but I had a 2016 model in black that I think had a smaller pocket so it packed down a little more like the picture bojangles808 posted. I normally only stuff it in the pocket to use as a pillow at night and when I packed in I just shoved the coat in my pack.

bought mine (pine color; large) around this time i think last year and it does not have any asat on the cuffs. solid color all around

In theory the 100g fill in the uncompahgre will probably not be as warm as the 2.5oz 850 fill of the Super Down. I haven't worn both, but on specs alone the Super Down should be warmer.

Also, the Uncompahgre doesn't fit like Kuiu. Its big... A relaxed fit for sure for my body type. Im taller and lankier, so Kuiu fits me well.

My 850 fill, 3.5oz down Arcteryx packs down to about half the size of the Uncompahgre pics shown here. I like synthetic a lot but they just dont pack as well, if that's a priority.

So you think it's warmer than the superdown? I have the Kifaru LPP and it's real warm but just doesn't pack down but it's warmer than my superdown just want something in between. Also never had first lite so not sure on sizing I have a XXL in the kuiu superdown and an XL in the Kifaru.

uncompaghre runs alittle big. im 6'0 220 and wear t shirts and kuiu merino in xl and in the uncompaghre vest and jacket wear a large.

I've had the Super Down, the Kenai, and the Uncompahgre. Not sure if they've changed it at all, but I found the original Uncompahgre to be the least warm of those three. The Kenai is the only one of those that I still have, and I wear it most the winter.

I picked up a friends Uncompaghre jacket to look at it, I held it to the light and could see light through most of the jacket, I was blow away by the lack of insulation in that thing compared to the popularity of the jacket.

Thanks,
Boswell

I was given one so I can't complain but it doesn't live up to the hype IMO. It's an OK jacket but not that special.

Mine has the bottom drawstring only in back half and none in front half....why?

I think that's why it was given to you lol. I love mine.

I have read all the reviews of the FL Uncompaghre puffy so I wanted to check one out. My friend has one so I took it outside to see how it worked. It's heavier than I thought it would be and not anywhere near as warm as I've read. (temps were in the low teens with a 15 mph wind)

The fill seemed uneven and some areas seemed to have hardly any fill. It's more like a 3/4 length parka to be used as an outer layer than a down puffy which is used as a mid layer. My thoughts were "this is a really a weird piece"

If I were to go with a puffy I'd want a lighter warmer less bulky piece that could be used as a mid layer under a jacket.
