First Lite Uncompahgre feedback?

I have the Uncomwhatever. IMO, it is incredibly warm and packable for the size and weight. The face fabric is DWR, but not waterproof. For bowhunting, I think it is fine as long as you aren't in a treestand; a bit noisy for a treestand, I think. It isn't noisy per se, but everything I wear is wool, so when I say it is noisy, I am basically comparing it to near total silence. If I were to wear it while shooting my bow, I would wear a compression sleeve on my forearm (I use the leg portion of an old dress sock) so I don't get string slap. It is also not indestructible. I get snags in the shell, but I hunt in AZ and everything has thorns and prickers.

I love my uncompagre I feel it's super warm last year in September I was in temps that dipped down to the 20s at night and the uncompagre was super comfy while sleeping in the fart sack Even. It's the one piece of clothing that comes with me every time no questions asked.

What is the difference between the uncompahgre and the cirrus as far as warmth?

I would say there is quite a bit of difference. The Cirrus is good down to around 40° and the Uncompahgre is good down to around 20° for me.

Is the cirrus an outer layer? Could it fit under a kuiu guide jacket?

Yes it's an outer layer but it could also go under a shell like a rain coat. I can't speak specifically for the Kuiu jacket as I've never had one.

I love my first lite puffy. Keeps me extremely warm
My only complaint is that it makes a light swish sound. Oh so faint. A buck busted me last week on my hunt

Do any of you guys wash your uncompahgre? I was sweating a lot in it this past weekend and it stinks a bit.

I like my uncochuga. Nice as puffy coats go. it is a nice layering piece but I am looking for something with more warmth for stand hunting. It seems fine down to freezing and a bit below but for very cold temps - 20 or below - you are going to need much more to stay warm.

I have washed mine several times without issue. Warm/Cold water and I hang dry. I suspect putting it in the drier would result in a melted coat. I would use Atsko sport wash if I planned to use it hunting. This may hurt the DWR, so you may eventually need to apply some Nikwax Tech Wash or TX spray after a couple washes.

Just washed mine in a front loader with cold water & very low heat in the dryer without issue.

Thanks guys! I'm letting it hang out side right now. To see if air outs. If not. I'll try what you guys said for washing. And don't dry.
