I see First Lite has a new soft shell in their new "Suppressor" line.

First Lite Suppressor Jacket
The Suppressor Soft Shell Jacket is purpose-built for the elements hunters face from the waning days of summer through the frigid closing day of the season. This windproof fabrication delivers incredible durability and stretch for unrestricted mobility in harsh environments with PFAS-free water resistance to shed light rain and snow. The jacket features two oversized, zippered chest vents for maximum heat dumping during periods of high exertion and strategically mapped hand pockets that provide easy access even when wearing a pack or bino harness. Backed with a soft, micro-fleece lining for all-day comfort, Suppressor Soft Shell is an essential piece of gear for the dedicated western hunter.
Features
  • Durable, windproof stretch softshell with a micro-fleece lining
  • Oversized chest vents dump heat fast
  • Pack belt and bino harness accessible hand pockets
  • 2-point adjustable drop hood
  • Adjustable flat seal cuffs
Material
  • 100% Polyester
Actual Weight
  • 25oz
Description suggests they went after windstopping, which is something I understand they have been lacking.

Anyone have any experience?

I have other First Lite camo peices, so thinking about giving it a try.

I also have my eye on the Kuiu Axis Hybrid and, possibly, the new Sitka Jetstream.
Other suggestions welcome.

Thanks!

I had a couple of the pre production pieces last year. I really like it personally, it was definitely lacking in their lineup. I like softshells. The chest vents scoop up air better than pit zips IMO. I used mine from Idaho to Colorado to Nebraska last year and quite a lot around town and ranch work. Blocks wind well. The fabric is more durable than the previous softshell they had, it's lightly fleece lined, comfortable, the pockets are in the right place in my opinion. I'm in a women's fit, which they have improved a lot over the last fit. The fabric thickness feels heavier/more durable than the jetstream to me.

Thank you, @Jordan Budd for the detailed response!
Due to the recent release, those with pre-prod access are likely the only reviews I would get before this hunting season. Thanks for sharing!

I will try and get a video done and posted up this week on that and the new North Range puffy jacket this week. Anything specifically you would like detailed?

I know this is the soft shell thread but I’m really curious how the North Range compares to the trusty uncompaghre

The primaloft insulation is a positive upgrade over the 37.5 in the Unc, in my opinion. Remains more lofty and therefore felt warmer for me. I like the new cuffs and collar on the NR as well

Awesome!
No, I don't think so! Much appreciated!

Definitely interested in the North Range as well! I saw your comment on the other thread.

I have an Unc 2.0 and my only real complaint in the very tight sleeves.. it makes laying even a grid fleece tough for me, but I have plenty of room everyone else. Its tough with synthetics, but it seems the NR has less fill than the unc 2.0, so very curious how it compares in warms (I see your comments on the primaloft vs 37.5). If the fit is more "laying-friendly", and its a little warmer as well, I may not need a warmer puffer.

The sleeves alone may be enough for me to upgrade lol. FL's generous veteran discount makes making upgrades palatable lol

Thanks again.

Interested in this Suppressor Jacket. I have owned a Jetstream for 5 or so years and have really put it to good use. IMO the jacket is perfect but its loud which stops me from using it bowhunting.

Wondering is this new jacket is quieter to any noticeable degree.

I ended up buying one (and a North Range Puffy) so I'll try to report back when it arrives and after my WY Thorofare Elk hunt this Sept-Oct.
