Looking at Chama QZ, do their base layers sizing run big or small, do they shrink over time with washing-drying. Nothing pisses me off when they fit at first and they don't after a season of washing and drying. I am 5"8-190lbs any suggestions on sizes? {I like a little looser fit}.

I'm 5'10 about 180 with a size 42,3 chest and ordered a Chama Hoodie in a large. It fits pretty good, probably what you are wanting. I feel its a touch big if I were wearing as a base-layer. I've got my kuiu 210 zip under the hoodie today and its perfect for me.

I'm 6'0", 200 lbs. and the large was way too big. I wear a size large in just about everything but the large in the chama qz swallowed me. Had to exchange for a medium and it fits well.

5'9 200 large is a little looser than most base layers I am used to. But the Llano which is more of a snug to skin feel fit me great in a large.

6' 1", 210 and the large llano was slightly snug, but perfect as a base layer or even if it's the only layer I use. Perfect for how I want that layer to fit.

I'm 6'0, 180 and pretty much every FL piece I have is medium with the exception of the Llano SS. I initially ordered large but I found most items run bigger. I could probably run a Llano SS in medium but I couldn't take it off long enough to send it back.:)

I find the Chama a bit "soggy" over time, like the Spandex/Lycra could be bumped up 2-3%. So I would say for sure it will not shrink, but rather grow a touch.

I'm 6'6" 210 and normally wear an XL. The Llano's in XL fit me fine, not too loose and not too tight. However, Cabela's sent me Larges a couple years ago and I tried one on........felt like I was wearing a kids shirt, and fit like it too.

The only item of FL clothing I own is a pair of red desert boxers that I picked up to try on a good sale. They definitely run big.

+1 on the no dryer for wool. None of my wool goes into a dryer ever.

I've got some medium and some large, at 6' 180. My llano ss are large, and my llano ls is a medium. The medium is a snug fit, but I'd rather a shirt fit snug than hang off of me. I ordered a large in the chama qz and will be listing it for sale shortly as I need to go down to a medium.

I'm 6'5" 315 lbs. I wear 2xl on tops/jackets and XL on pants. The 2XL is more room in the chest, and length in the sleeves which is why I got that route. the waist is kinda "flowy" but it doesn't interefere with layering. I wear a 38" waist in Mountain Khaki and Carhartt and the XL pants is the best fit I've found, I have the North Branch and the Kanabs. I have big forearms and if I pull the sleeves up the wrist doesn't shrink back down for a day or so. Other than that I don't have any shrinking/expansion problems.

Yes, I can attest to wool shrinkage and I dried mine on low heat. My chama QZ will barely stay tucked in. Pisses me off but I can't line dry mine everytime after I wash it. My underarmor gets an A+ for durability and not shrinking but then again it gets funky after a hunt.
