First Lite Navigator Hoody Review ***Updated 11/30/25***

How does it compare to the furnace?
I have a furnace ¼ zip, but I'm looking to add to my collection and I'm torn between the navigator or a furnace hoody.

I have not worn the furnace, however, I think the navigator would be the better option for a more active type of hunt. The furnace sounds like it might be the warmer option.

Do you think this would be a warm enough to be used as a midlayer for a late season rifle hunt?

Yes, I think it would work well for that.
Thanks! We’re looking at Montana this November so I’m shopping around for warmer layers. Saw this at my local Scheels and wasn’t sure what to make of it warmth wise. It seemed so lightweight but saw a lot of people are saying how warm it is.

30% off at Scheels right now. I normally wear large (medium works, just a bit more snug than I like) in FL clothes and this fits well in large. Cooler temps this weekend in Idaho, so I'll try it out while looking for bears.

Got to try one out during turkey season. Wore just it and a wick base layer down to 40 degrees in a blind. Was comfortable with a mild chill. I thought that was the extent of it is temperature range. Then I wore it and the same wick layer another weekend run n gun down to 30 degrees in the morning. Packed another jacket intending to layer but never needed to. Thought the hiking around must have kept me warm. Then I sat and still stayed warm with ice on my boot laces. It didn't get overly hot when I was hiking either. The only thing I can conclude is that it’s made out of magic. I’m super impressed with how comfortable it is at a wide range of temperatures. I plan on using it as my mainstay this November in Montana.
