I have used the Kanab pants for the past year. They seem to keep me comfortable in a really wide temp range. With First Lite merino base layer bottoms and Kanab pants, I am able to stay comfortable in temps down into the 20s, as long as I stay dry and I am moving just a little. In my opinion, they are not very wind resistant, however.
After 1 year, mine still look new. The fabric is maybe slightly thinner than denim jeans or somewhat comparable. I have used mine in the mountains of WY and sitting in a deer stand whitetail hunting in La, and they have worked great.
I have no experience with the Kryptek pants.

Good Luck

Thanks yeh they seem thin if I decide them hope I done rip them out in the woods. I like the suspenders with them tho. I'm tall so looking at any brand that offers tall length or suspenders. Thank for the info

The Cadog's seem really heavy- I looked at the cadog's side by side with the dalibor's, and I would prefer the dalibor's for a mobile hunt. The Cadog's have a heavy fleece interior, and might be nice for stand hunting or late season hunts, but would be too much for me if there was much walking or activity involved.

These two pants are apples and oranges. The Kanabs are a light to medium wool pant and the Cadog is a fleece lined synthetic WARM pant. I would not consider hiking in the Cadog unless temps are in single digits or below zero.

In Kryptek look at the Dalibor or Alaios. They are closer to the same weight as the wool Kanabs. I have all of the pants above along with several pair of KUIU Attacks. In order my favorites are 1. KUIU Attacks, 2. Kryptek Alaios, 3. Kryptek Dalibor, 3. Kanabs

Yeh while researching I ran into the kuiu attack pants they look really well designed. After more reading the cadog definetly is a heavy pant. Gonna have to either go with the attack pants or the dailbors. Just want something durable that won't get hung up an rip to easily. Thanks for the compression I knew someone would have tried these different brand of pants before.

I haven't used the others, but I have a few pairs of Attacks and can offer my opinions based off a lot of use. One pair of Attacks goes back to KUIU's first run. They wear well, I easily have close to tripple digit field days on a single pair. There might be small hole here or there. They aren't Carharts and made for endless abrasion. But then again they hike, breath, and dry better than Carharts. I have melted a couple small spots with the Attacks. The first time I hit my leg on my motorcycles exhaust pipe and melted a quarter sized area. The other time was last year in November. I had been sitting above a herd of bedded elk all day and I was really cold. I built a small fire between my legs to warm up and melted another quarter sized area. It all worked out though, as I took a nice bull with my muzzleloaded just before the end of shooting time. I don't fault the pants in either case.

The Attacks have been my best do all pant for August through November. I almost always run a light merino bottom from Setember through October. In November through January I usually wear both a light and mid-weight merino bottom. I have been happy enough with the Attack pants, I havent looked elsewhere. This year I did pick up a pair of Tiburon and Guide pants. I don't have the field time yet to offer my opinions though.

In my opinion clothing preference is much like boots, and other gear. What is warm, comfortable and functional for me may not be so for others. I can't imagine anything more comfortable and versatile than my First Lite Kanabs. I will use them on elk and deer hunt in temps from teens and 20's (with merino base layers) all the way up to 90 degree mid summer hog hunts. I'm preparing for an upcoming elk hunt and have worn them at 95 degrees training with a 75 lb. backpack. Yeah, I was hot but surprisingly, the Kanabs breathed and wicked perspiration really well. I've yet to try them in cold weather but, will find out how durable they are when I use them in CO on a 2nd rifle elk hunt.

My goto pant from Apr - Oct is the Kryptek vahallia and Nov - Mar the Kuiu attacks. I have the original attacks and the vahallias breath much better and are comfortable with merino base layers down into the 20's and up to the 90's without a base layer . I found my attacks to be a tad warm, not horrible but not the most comfortable.
