I've been running Kuiu for the last 3 years now. I'm looking at the First Lite Pants and I want something comparable to the Kuiu Teton (I prefer the Teton to the attack pant). I think I'll eventually end up with both Kanab's and Corrugate Guide pants but I would like something that will shed water for the mid-late season in snow. How thick are the corrugate guide pants compared to the kuiu pants? If anyone can help me out here I'd appreciate it.

To me the corrugate guides are a little thinner and stretchier than the attacks. No experience with kanabs or Tetons.

I prefer the Tetons to the attacks. The attacks feel too thin and less durable than the tetons even though both have held up well and I haven't had issues with either, the tetons feel better.

The Kanab 2.0 are my favorite pants. They are a merino pant, opposed to synthetic material, and very versatile. Although neither pant is waterproof the Corrugate probably gets the nod in shedding water, but the Kanab dries out very quickly. I consider both an early season pant, or part a layering system for later season. Both are lightweight and breathe very well.

I guess I'll start with the Kanab's.. I've heard awesome stuff about them. It seems like if they made the corrugate guide pant a little thicker I'd have a winner!

The kanabs will soak up water compared to the guides. If there is any chance of water go guides. Even morning dew will soak the kanabs.

I have both.

Neither will keep you warm in sub 30 degree weather, you will have to have a base layer for both.

My Kanabs blew out after a few days. So First Lite is sending me some Guides to replace them. In their defense I have huge Crossfit thighs!
But if you have skinny legs the Kanabs were awesome! I really liked them in the snow and rain!
Can't wait to get the Guides!

Guides are a little skinny in the calf / bottom area. Mine have started to blow out in crotch area after about a dozen trips in them.

Sure sounds like the first lite pants are not holding up very well.

I blow through their underwear all the time as well. Crotch issues for sure. They won't admit the red dessert has a problem but if you look at the new Dobson they obviously addressed the issue. I keep ending up with more Sitka gear. I never have a problem with their stuff.
