First Lite delayed?

Well I wear medium in current first lite gear and they recommended I go with Medium in the Catalyst so Im hoping it works out. I plan to wear next to skin base layers and maybe put the furnace layers as a mid under the catalyst. I should know this Thursday......

Hows the fit on it? this and the jacket are very intriguing.

5' 11" 38/39 chest, fits well, the old Sawtooth had terrible shoulders, this one definitely has it right

I wish the chest was a bit smaller but the neck fits good and the shoulders dont overlap out much at all so I'll be keeping, just always wondering what the small would fit like though

Got my preorder today, wick and Klamath hoodies. Initial impressions are good.

Mediums in both and I feel like the fit is better than before. I always felt like arm and torso fit were goofy on FL but both of these pieces seem great.

Yeah they finally have stuff in stock. I ordered my Kiln Merino Fusion top this morning so I’m set for my elk hunt!

Does anyone that received the Klamath also have last year's Halstead? How are they sized compared to each other?

Yep just picked up my Catalyst in Dry earth and the Corrigate guide jacket in Cipher. I got the cat in XL and fits percet for outer layer. I got the Corr in L and it fits exactly how I hoped it would.

The cat is an outer layer over both a base and a mid layer.
The Corr is gonna be a solo layer over a merino so I wanted it a bit more snug

Seems like, for me anyway, FL has the sizing issues handled, or should I say predictable now.

mfllood, what are your initial opinions on the jackets? I was thinking about ordering a Corrugate jacket for the same purpose as you, but I was unsure if that function was worth the price. Also, what's your height and weight? Trying to figure out the large/xl dilemma.

I have mediums in both. I would call the Klamath a more "athletic" fit. Tighter in arms and torso, better in my opinion.

I just got in the Klamath hoodie, kiln hoodie and sawtooth vest all in xl. They all fit perfect for me. The length is a just a tad longer than I like, but I am not disappointed at all. Waiting for my Catalyst jacket to come in and see how it fits. I think they hit the nail on the head this year.

What is your height weight? I'm thinking of ordering 2 out of those 3.

I’m 6’ 1” 225 lbs. broad shoulders. The shoulder area fit perfect. I have long arms, the sleeve length was perfect too.

Cool thanks. I was having a hard time deciding between the XL and L but I am similar in size.

I am hoping to get my video reviews of the Klamath hoodie and the catalyst soft shells up by this weekend.

Im 5-9, and about 185

The fit is a almost a hair snug, but stretches a lot. I wanted it a bit tighter than my normal jackets
Its not too small, just in some areas its more snug

The saw tooth is same way, like in the arms

The mobility is why I got it
I wanted it snug yet mobile

I just got my new stuff yesterday - a Klamath hoodie, Furnace quarter zip, and Kiln hoodie all in size Large. They all fit me well, with just a little extra room in the torso but I think I'm better off in size Large then I would be in Medium. I'm built more like a monkey than a bear and it's very common that anything that fits me across the arms and shoulders has a little extra room in the chest/torso. Anyways, I've always fit well into Sitka and KUIU size large and I'm stoked that First Lite has (apparently) gotten their sizes calibrated with other hunting clothes manufacturers. CAN I HEAR A HALLELUJAH!
I'll be interested to hear how the new stuff fits other folks. BTW: using the measuring directions on the First Lite website my stats are: waist 33-34, chest 39-40, hips 39-40, arms 36 and my height 6'1", weight 180.

Dwight.MT and I are in teh same ballpark. I'm 6'2", 195lbs. I got a Large in everything: Sawtooth jacket, Kiln Hoody, Furnace Quarter Zip, and obsidian pants. All are right on the money for me!

EDIT: After chatting with the FL rep, the Obsidian pants are NOT right on the money. I'm sending them back for a medium tall. The large's were just too baggy in the upper thigh for my liking. He wants me to try the Medium Tall and expects me to like their fit better.

How's the fit on the Obsidians versus the Corrugates? I had to size up (L to XL) on the Corrugates then hem the waist in a bit to get them to fit. I'd like to try the Obsidians but not sure if the cut is different.

I literally just edited my post to say I'm sizing DOWN to the Obsidians from my previous Corrugate Guide Pants and Kanab 2.0's (and 2017 Obsidians that I returned late last summer).
