I'm looking at this in blaze orange for still hunting. Anyone have it and have any thoughts or opinions. There are a couple of reviews on their website that sound like it doesn't have much stretch so teh fit is loose. Definitely prefer a tighter/stretchy fit on a hat like that. Any opinions welcomed. Are there any other good merino options in blaze orange?

I have one and it doesn't fit tight and I thought that would be a problem but it's not. In fact , it stays in place much better than my stretchy Icebreaker beanie. It did feel wierd andlike it was going to fall off but again I was wrong in my assumption. It's my favorite beanie now and I need to pick up a second one in case I loose one.

I read the reviews you referenced before buying the FL beanie this year and they are pretty negative. I have one in camo and here are my thoughts. It is a full profile or large beanie, should be fine for larger heads, could be loose on a small head. It will cover most or all of your ears and tapers down onto your neck nicely. 230 wt merino. Some stretch, but not a lot.

My head is small enough I got a brand new football helmet in HS. I really like my FL beanie and it's my favorite for active hunting. If it's in the 30's or lower I prefer the Filsons beanie as it's much warmer.

Bought one and sent it back promptly. Just a weird fitting beanie! Definitely loose fitting and I have an average size head. Thing just didn't fit right!!

yeah, not sure... I have probably a smaller sized head so i'm not sure i'm going to dig the loose fit. I would love to find one a blaze colored merino beane like the icebreaker beanies I have in camo. for $15 at STP, they're hard to beat but need something for active hunts during gun season..

I have a large, egg-shaped head (7 3/4) so they fit me fairly well. I really like them, I double up on the blaze orange and brimmed beanie in extreme cold
