First Lite AeroWool 150 long Boxer vs Boot cut

I am looking to get a new pair of merino base layers for hiking/hunting. My old Icebreaker boxer briefs bunched up too much which got pretty old after 5 days in the elk woods. I have heard good things about the First Lite Merino and am looking at the longer 10'' Boxer Brief or the longer boot cut. Does anyone have experience with any of these? They are strictly a wicking base layer as I have some synthetic thermals for a mid layer when its cold. Thanks in advance for any advice.
