Any bets on what the Foundry pants will cost?
No clue. Bet they will be above the obsidians etc. by a fair piece. Feels like First lite switched to a direct sales model but never whittled down their prices. I always feel like KUIUs comparable offerings are a it cheaper than Sitka and First Lite, presumably because they dont have a retail Mark up.Any bets on what the Foundry pants will cost?
Man I was very excited when they announced direct because that was one of their claims was to reduce costs at all levels. I thought that ment the consumer too but instead it's just profits, and now you can't even wait for sales or promo codes from multiple dealers you are stuck with the price and inventory at a single site.No clue. I am taking a guess at around $275-300 since they will be perceived as a step up from the Catalyst. No clue. Bet they will be above the obsidians etc. by a fair piece. I had purchased a lot of first lite before they went direct but have purchased more kuiu since based on prices and sales and such. Now kuiu doesn't work for me on pants because they don't have short enough inseams so I've been wearing the heck out of all my older first lite pants.

I bought one last fall and sold it after one wearing. It was obviously not windproof and I can't be the only one who hates the hand pockets. After owning a Fanatic for so many years it's hard to find anything that compares.Eagerly awaiting the rollout. The Sanctuary cuts some wind, but it does not have wind stopper.
My thoughts exactly. I really like the changes, I just won't know what to order. The corrugate waistband just made it so easy to throw a dart at a board and they would likely fit well.like it, just unsure of my waist and inseam haha i am a different size with different brands
I really hope they keep the regular corrugates. Otherwise what will I wear to work every day.Looks interesting to me. Big fan of hybrid design outdoor clothing. Extra protection where it is needed and weight savings Where it is not. Obsidian version is only $10 more. Corrugate is $50 more and has hip vents and knee pads. Seems like a worthy answer to sitka’s timberline pants for $50 less.
I have two pair of older corrugates. In terms of durability i find them to be in between the kuiu attacks (picks and pulls galore) and the sitka pants (tough stuff). If the new corrugates held up well i could see adding a pair to my collection.
the obsidians interest me a little less but I am open to the idea. I like the feel of my kanabs and a pair of obsidians I own but I seem to grab other pants more often. Water resistance is part of that decision.
I note they still have the regular obsidians and corrugates on their site for now.
Everything I wear that is polyester stinks after 1 day. Any comments in this regard? As an aside, if you want a pant pretty similar to the new Corrugate Foundry pants, check out the Pnuma Tenacity Pant- they are on clearance right now- originally $170- now $85 and there are 20% codes all over online so even with shipping I got a pair for like $72. They are awesome- knee pads, side vents, 4 way stretch , etc. etc
Oh and they have a lifetime warranty- they will work with you on most stuff too even if you did something dumb like rip them on a fence. I like FL but they certainly lack a lot in this dept
that can be an issue with any synthetic- Pnuma are at least treated which helps keep down the stink but I dont find the pants get that bad anyway. Base layers on the upper body get a little more ripe even with treatmentEverything I wear that is polyester stinks after 1 day. Any comments in this regard?
No those just came out last year.Did they discontinue the zip off base layer bottoms?
Seems like they’re “sold out” everywhere. Haven’t seen any size or color available. No those just came out last year.
They usually stock stuff twice a year. It bleeds out quickly, especially in the most common sizes. The same is true for all the big hunting apparel companies. Seems like they don't stock well, but at the same time I don't know their margins on their current stuff so it's possible they can't risk dead inventory. I'm sure the individual margins are good but it's a pretty niche market for hunting apparel, so not surprising they try to keep supply relatively low.Seems like they’re “sold out” everywhere.
