First Fawns of 2025 Have Arrived in Central TX

Great rain this year so far, looking to be a healthy herd from this set of twins..

Fawn season is my first excuse for not brush hogging.

I've got some waist-high winter wheat and rye plots that the gurus would have me mowing or crimping but the does seem to hang out there so I just leave it longer than "recommended"

I saw a fawn in PA yesterday that already lost its spots. That usually doesn't happen until August.

I'm in the SE corner of the state, and I'll agree. Maybe not totally gone, but pretty darn faded for this time of year!
