First elk in MT

Had a pretty great elk season this year in MT. We had a couple of real close encounters during archery, and then I found this bull bedded at first light on the second day of rifle season. A cow had me made at 400 yards but the bull wasn't alarmed at all. I waited about 5 minutes for him to stand up and then 1 shot with my 6.5x284 put him right back down. Couldn't be happier for my first bull.
