My daughter was the first to see a small herd of elk working their way towards us. As her breathing rapidly increased, I could tell she was getting really excited! We watched them feed from 350 out, slowly working their way towards the blind. After 15 or so minutes, this yearling stood slightly quartering towards her at 165. Controlling her breathing and keeping cool, she made a great shot with the 6.5CM and the cow only went about 10’. I’m quite proud of the way she handled herself, and we will enjoy eating this one.
