First Elk Down! 6x5 from Northern New Mexico!

I was able to take this guy last week with my rifle on a hunt in Northern New Mexico. He is a 6x5 and I could not be any happier since he is my first elk ever. I know he is not one of the monsters you see posted on here but I am more than happy with him.

It was a DIY hunt on private land.

Anyway, just wanted to share it with the group.

Good bull, I shot a 5*6 this year and was thinking the same thing as you at first about him not being the biggest bull. A few weeks later looking back I am damn proud of the bull and you should as well. Meet in the freezer and great memories.
