Last week was only my second out of state hunt ever. Did a DIY elk hunt in 2020, but my Whitetail hunting buddy and I went to NE Wyoming with 2 mule deer tags and 1 pronghorn tag.
Hunt was guided and I learned a lot. Saw a bunch of deer and even got lucky enough to get on a pronghorn with horns left.
Didn't shoot any giants, but saw a ton of animals and had a really good experience.
Being I'd never shot something out of state, or with a real rifle (Ohio is straightwall and shotgun only) I really wanted to kill something with a bullet I'd reloaded.
This guy offered me a shot the second to last evening at 370 yards. I made it count and had my first ever muley buck on the ground.
The sun setting in the background made for some neat pictures.
Really enjoyed ourselves and saw some pretty terrain. Got to test out some of my gear that doesn't get exercised that much in Ohio as we had -14 one morning.
Built some confidence and am looking forward to doing this kinda thing again.
