First Deer

I was able to take my first deer this week, little 4x3 mule deer.
It was not the toughest hunt but it did involve a 5 minute walk and 45 minutes of sitting on a plastic folding chair. 😁
It was with a much larger buck but buddy owns the land and likes the bigger ones for himself.
I ended up with 75 pounds on the button of deboned meat.
He had about that much again of fat on him.
We're limited to bucks only or 3 leh draws for does so deer aren't ridiculously easy to kill up here

My wife and I (well me anyways) had the first meal from it tonight. Veggies in the grill basket with steak strips added in when the onions were going clear.
It was very delightful. 😀
